Bio

Greg Lamboy creates music that speaks to both the heart and the quiet corners of the soul. A seasoned performer and gifted guitarist, he combines lyrical honesty with expressive musicianship that draws listeners in from the very first note.

Onstage, Greg is both commanding and comforting, offering performances that balance strength and sensitivity. His songs are melodic reflections on everyday life, blending heartfelt storytelling with finely crafted guitar work and a voice that conveys both power and warmth.

Each show features original compositions alongside thoughtfully reimagined interpretations of familiar songs. The result is music that feels at once intimate and universal, alive with sincerity and emotional depth. Whether performing under open skies in an intimate winery courtyard or on stage at regional music festivals, Greg creates an atmosphere of connection where every listener feels part of the moment.

When not performing solo, he leads Pacific Standard, an Americana Jam Rock band known for its soulful, roots-driven sound. Currently residing in Marin County, Greg has a degree in music from New York University and has released five albums of his original music. He continues to perform across Northern California and is currently working on new songs for the next Pacific Standard album.

Gigs

Greg’s band Pacific Standard is where Americana storytelling meets jam-band spirit. Drawing inspiration from The Band, Eagles, and Grateful Dead, the San Francisco–based quintet blends roots rock authenticity, honeyed harmonies, and unbuttoned grooves into a sound that feels both timeless and alive.

Pacific Standard crafts a “modern vintage” sound full of tight harmonies, loose grooves, and melodies that stick. Together, they channel the sun-baked warmth of Laurel Canyon through the improvisational energy of Northern California’s jam scene.

Their debut album, The Honeyed & the Bittersweet, Volume I, bridges eras. It’s music that invites you to roll down the windows, turn up the volume, and lose track of time.

Rooted in Americana tradition and fueled by jam-rock spontaneity, this San Francisco quintet builds songs that start with a story and end with a soulful feeling that lingers long after the last note fades.
