Politics and religion are a volatile mixture. Originally inspired by a White Supremacist who attacked a group of children in an attempt to start a race war, this song has grown to take on added significance over the past few years. Many opposing groups claim theirs to be the one true religion of God and are committed to making others see it the same way. Will I be able to live in Your World?

Your World (click for sample)

You say you’ll stop at nothing to make this world the way you want it to be
But let me ask you, Brother, will there be room for people like me
In Your World?

You say that you’re fulfilling your vision of a worldly paradise
But the heaven you’re proposing is clearly hell to the ones you don’t like
In Your World

What makes a man hate another man?
Who’s out? Who’s In? What’s the color of your skin?
Will the way I say God mean a firing squad?
When you think of me am I the enemy?

You may think that this is your world
And there’s no room for me or mine
I’m here to tell you it’s one world we’re sharing
And we’re running out if time…

I say it comes to nothing
With you in power and the rest of us in fear
I know there’s room for everyone
There’s even a place for you right here in Your World

You may think that this is your world
And there’s no room for me or mine
I’m here to tell you it’s one world we’re sharing
You live your way, let me live mine

There’s a common fate that connects us
And I’m pulling on that thread
Gonna bring us all a little closer
So we don’t all end up dead

This is Your World
Falling apart…
