My
experience as a performer has brought me into contact
with people from all walks of life. Through my music,
social and political activities, I have broken bread with
pauper and prince, with the up and coming and the down
and out. But why do some people gain the world, while
others get lost within it? We all make choices but our
lives often come down to a matter of Fate.

There’s
something I want to ask you
Does it hurt when people stare?
Or is it worse when they look past you
Is it better to at least be there?
If Fate had moved us a little to the left
Maybe you and I would be somewhere else
And if Fate had moved us a little to the right
Well I might be me but I just might be you
There’s
something I want to tell you
It may seem that no one cares
About the misfortunes that befell you
I want you to know that I’ll be there
‘Cause
if Fate had moved us a little to the left
Maybe you and I would be somewhere else
And if Fate had moved us a little to the right
Well I might be me but I just might be you
I said I just might be you
I
never met someone who hated you who
ever walked a mile in your shoes
And if it seems your finally one your own
I want you to know my friend that you’re not alone
There’s
something I want to ask you…
If Fate had moved us a little to the left
Do you think you and I would be somewhere else
And if Fate had moved us a little to the right
Well I might be me but I just might be you
And if Fate had moved us a little to the left
Maybe you and I would be somewhere else
And if Fate had moved us a little to the right
Well I might be me but I just might be you
I said I just might be you
I said I just might be you
