| More from our performance on American Songwriter. Here's the band version of "Always Been You" from my latest release, Where You Are. Originally I played this as an introduction to Paul Simon's "Late in the Evening". It started as a simple reworking of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and grew from there. As it progressed, I rewrote the words into a love ballad about returning to "the one".
